Amendment in Madhya Pradesh labor law "Now the law is simple"
Notification of amendment issued under Public Service Delivery Guarantee
As per the proposed amendment- With the increase in industrial and economic activities and the interests of workers, employment will also increase. Given the likely time of the Covid-19 pandemic, the duration of this proposal has been set to 1000 days. After this amendment, Madhya Pradesh will become the first state in the country. Benefits of this modification
  • The period of registration for the establishment of any employment was earlier 30 days, now it has been revised to 1 day. If any competent officer does not do so, he can be punished with a fine.
  • Before the proposal of amendment, the license of factories which were renewed annually (1 year), Now it has been extended for 10 years.
  • According to this proposal, the process of licensing of the "Contract Labor Act" will be for the entire period, not according to the calendar year.
  • The process of renewal of licenses will now be done online.
  • Now the opening time of establishments and shops in the state has been increased from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm.
