New Delhi:
The lockdown has been extended till 31 May in view of the rising infection of the coronavirus in the country. Most of the rights in Lockdown-4 have been given to the states. The central government will issue separate detailed guidelines on topics falling in the central list.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued an order in this regard. In this, various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government and the State Governments have been asked to take measures to avoid infection of Covid-19. The lockdown is in force in the country from 25 March. NDMA has not released any new guidelines. It says that the National Executive Committee (NEC) has issued orders and clarifications from time to time under Section 10 (2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, regarding the lockdown in the country.
Important changes will be made in the guidelines:
The NDMA stated in its order that the lockdown measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 will continue until May 31. To open economic activities, NEC will make necessary changes in the guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as well as to further economic activities.
This is the third time the lockdown has been extended. Even before this, the lockdown in the country was extended twice and the lockdown-3.O was ending today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the country had indicated to increase the lockdown. However he said that it will be some new look. In such a situation, everyone's eyes were on how this new look would be? What kind of discount will be given in this?
