206 healthcare workers test positive in AIIMS-Delhi: report

206 AIIMS, Delhi Healthcare employees have tested positive for COVID-19 since 1 February. A total of 11 health workers were declared positive on Friday while 30 on Thursday.

 

According to the ANI report, the infected persons include medico and non-medicose staff members — two faculty, 10 resident doctors, 26 nurses, 69 security guards and 34 sanitation workers.

Dr. DK Sharma, Medical Superintendent, AIIMS, Delhi was quoted as saying, "We are taking all safety and precautionary measures against coronaviruses for our health workers."

According to him, when they get to know thag some of the health workers are infected with corona virus, they immediately isolate them foro proper treatment and begin the process of contact tracing.

As soon as their treatment and quarantine period was over, our corona warriors join their duty to serve the nation.

Our doctors, nurses, paramedics and other health workers have been provided with all facilities to protect themselves from corona infection, ”said Dr. Sharma.

AIIMS officials have taken several measures to counter COVID-19, making it mandatory for patients to wear masks in any department.

AIIMS is also considering to resume limited OPD and non-emergency services in a phased manner. There is an ongoing discussion about the feasibility of the plan.
